God’s Provision

Life is sometimes filled with apprehension of the future. In our passage today, the Apostle encourages Timothy and the churches at Ephesus to honor widows and elders. He means take care of them, house them, feed them, clothe them.
God has promised that His people will not be found begging bread. If you will work, you will eat. If you cannot work, and you have no one to care for you, and if you love Jesus and are connected to His Church, God will care for you through His people.
This meal is part of that promise. Every week, we eat, we drink. God is providing our needs in Christ Jesus. His grace is sufficient for all things. He provides food and drink. We are clothed in Christ. We are in God’s house. Believe these promises to you. It is God’s provision.
