Believe God’s Assurance

We are prone to think more of how we feel than what God says. This ought not to be the case. We are Christians and believe in objective truth. 2+2 always equals 4, even if you are feeling a little 5ish today.

The Assurance of Pardon is an important part of our service, particularly if you have become more aware of your sinfulness and your particular sins and the weight of them is strong.

Like Christian, gaze at the cross, look at the work Jesus has done to save you from your sins, and feel the weight of that burden fall away from you. The Lord extends His grace far and above every place where sin abounds. This is God’s word of assurance to you. He died for His people of which you are a member. He rose for you. He intercedes for you. He is ruling over all things for you. He is coming again for you. Rest in this assurance.
